• Does PMU hurt?

I use two different anesthetics throughout the procedure to ensure continuous comfort. I use a medical grade anesthetic for the initial numbing and then apply a secondary anesthetics during the procedure in between passes. So you should feel very very minimal pain if any during the procedure.

  • How long does permanent makeup last?

Many PMU artist throw around the term semi-permanent when talking about longevity but that can be misleading. Microblading will most likely leave some smudge or stain on the skin even though it fades considerably. Microblading needs touchups annually to keep the brows crisp and dark. Longevity can depend of differing skin types, oily skin will need more frequent touchups as well as people who spend a lot of time in the sun, chemicals peels, retinol, anti-aging cream, and other harsh treatments to prevent the power fading prematurely.

  • Am I a candidate for permanent makeup?

For best results, healthy and dry to combination skin types are idea for machine shading. If the skin is not healthy, it will not take pigment correctly and the will not heal as desired. Skin types prone to keloids, scars, acne, rosacea, and previous cosmetic tattoos require a consultation to determine whether Permanent makeup is right for you. If you are pregnant or nursing mamas you need to wait until after nursing to have the procedure done. If you are undergoing chemo, you must wait until you are finished with chemo and or radiation before having the procedure. Clients with alopecia can have the procedure done at any stage of hair loss.

  • How long does a cosmetic tattoo procedure take?

When you first arrive we will have a short consultation to talk about which procedure is right for you and all your brow goals. Then we will spend about 40-50 minutes mapping your brows to settle on a shape. Once you confirm the shape you will numb for 20 minutes. Once you are numbed we will start the actual procedure which can last for about 1-2 hours. All together the appointment can last anywhere from 2.5-3 hours.

  • Can I come to you if I already have previous cosmetic tattooing on my brows?

For the most part, I do not usually work over previous work. It all depends on how long its been since they were done, the style and shape, and the reason why you are not doing touch ups with the original permanent makeup artist. If you are curious just reach out and we can chat about it!

  • How do I prepare for an appointment?

    • No caffeine the day of the appointment

    • No blood thinners

    • No waxing or grooming of the brows prior to your PMU session

    • I always recommend eating prior to your session as many people get lightheaded and or faint

    • Wear minimal makeup to your appointment as the procedure can get messy from the ink being wiped away. I always remind people that I will be taking before and after pictures. So if you want to bring makeup to touchup before pictures to ensure you feel your best, I highly encourage it!

  • What do I have to avoid after a PMU appointment

    • Sun exposure (if it cannot be avoided you must wear a hat)

    • SWEATING (no working out, long walks, or strenuous activity)

    • No retinoids, facewash, or acne medication above the nose for 7-10 days

    • No long steamy showers, must be limited to warm/lukewarm water for a max of 10 minutes

    • SALT WATER is a huge killer to fresh brows and can negative affect the healing process. Saline is actually used in the tattoo removal process because of the impact it has against fresh permanent makeup

    • No PICKING! Trust me, I know that picking can be extremely satisfying but it is detrimental to the healing process. You must let the scabs flake of as naturally as possible
